The remarkable thing is that we really do love our neighbor as ourselves. We do unto others as we do unto ourselves. We hate others when we hate ourselves. We are tolerant toward others when we tolerate ourselves. We forgive others when we forgive ourselves.

"There is a narrative out there about clicktivism or slacktivism. Young people might share a lot online. Or they’ll click like on something. But they won’t necessarily take these more impactful actions. We find that, at least with the Tumblr audience, the kind of rabid engagement that we get online is actually very related to the way that our same users interact offline. They’re just super-engaged, influential people."— Liba Rubenstein (libawr), Tumblr’s Director of Outreach See more at philantrophy.com

I personally find this to be one of the most important facts about eating disorders because it is the most overlooked. People always seem to forget about all the males out there suffering, especially when it comes to eating disorders.
Males can have diabetes.Males can have cancer.Males can suffer depression or anxiety. So why can’t people understand that males also can suffer an eating disorder?
Eating disorders, like all other diseases and mental health issues, do not descriminate. Not against age, not against sexual orientation, not against ethnicity, not against sex.
Don’t forget about the boys and men. Please share <3
